Kate (our founder) was brought up with dogs all her life and who's parents bred pedigree labradors. From a young girl she has had hands on experience with puppies and handling dogs in a calm and caring manner. Although having a rather large gap in dog handling due work committments, she once again got involved with dogs in 2000. Kate has had 4 large breed dogs in her family and has fostered a number of ex racing greyhounds. Kate has also had to deal with the sometimes terrifying aspect of sudden onset canine epilepsy in one of her own greyhounds so she absolutely understands and can empathise with other dog owners who's dogs have epilepsy. Kate decided to start 1st Class Walkies in 2010 after loosing her beloved greyhound to complications brought on by the epilepsy and because she found it difficult to find suitable pet services that could cater for epileptic dogs.
